Stop and smell the roses

Among all the models in the Runwayml, I found the most interesting one is the AdaiN-Style-Transfer, which transforms the selected image to a desired style in one click. The concept I came up with for this project is "stop and smell the roses". I want to emphasis that with blooming technology and information, we should sometimes slow down and experience nature from a different perspective. Using this model I could generate a video cover for this project.

For this AdaiN-Style-Transfer, I put a stop sign with a rose image I created as my input and The Great Wave off Kanagawa by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai as the output, so I could get a combined stylish photo from it. The below is what I got.

Honestly, most of the models are not very polished compared to Instagram and Snapchat's filters, and they take forever to run. The most helpful function and the one I used most for this project is actually the Green Space, which is super powerful and quick. The above video is a test I did using the Green Space, to put BBC's youtube video (the dolphins) on top of Nomadic Ambience's youtube video "Snowfall in Central Park". The process is real quick and you can basically change the background to anything you like in just seconds.
