Me and my project partners Yuan and Shirley came up with this story name "1023", which combined all of our initial interested topics together, and we agreed that this could be a great base for the coming AR project.
1. The story started with our first scene: a kid who seems so cute and innocent, is running around happily in a garden with a net in hand, catching something in the air. His name is 1023. People picnicking in the garden with their phones in hand don't know that their data are being collected by 1023's net.
2. The second scene continues with 1023 running towards to the opposite direction, which is a forrest. People are not paying attention to what this kid is up to.
3. The third scene is we see 1023 transformed into another look, a bit of evilness on his face starts to appear. He is in the line with other kids, who are also data catcher, waiting to sacrifice the data they have collected to a net under the tree.
4. The final scene is that when we look up to the forrest, trying to figure out where all the data went, we realised that the whole forrest (world) was actually under the surveillance of a big scary spider. The data these kids collected, was climbing through the spiders leg, going into the centre of its body.
The whole story is a metaphor of the data safety issue we are experiencing in this era. The open ending left audience with imagination and deep thinking. What is the ultimate usage of the data collected from humans is for?
